Two Houses and the New Testament
.
It is the role, task and function of the Messiah of Israel to gather and unite the 12 tribes of Israel. In order to fully accomplish this objective, Yeshua will use the combination of His first and second coming. In His first coming, Yeshua dies on the tree and provides a new covenant to offer forgiveness of sin to the nation of Israel and the entire world. During His ministry at His first coming when Yeshua heals the blind, lame, deaf and dumb and raises the dead, He is prophesying of His role to physically end the exile of the 12 tribes of Israel in the end of days as the terms "blind, lame, deaf, dumb and dead" are spiritual terms describing the exiles of Israel for breaking the covenant at mount Sinai.
Yeshua's ministry was centered in the Galilee in the city of Capernaum. Capernaum in Hebrew means, "village of comfort". "Comfort" is associated with the end of the exile (Isaiah 40:1-3). The Northern Kingdom of Israel was originally taken captive by the Assyrians from the Galilee area. By ministering in the Galilee, Yeshua is "hinting" at His role to restore the Northern Kingdom into covenant relationship with Him after He divorced them (Jeremiah 3:8) for breaking the covenant at mount Sinai.
In Matthew 9:35-36, where we are told that Yeshua is teaching to the multitudes who are likened to scattered sheep without a shepherd healing every manner of sickness and disease among them. The 'multitude' foreshadow the Northern Kingdom of Israel who are like 'lost sheep'. In being given the firstborn blessing, Ephraim is referred to as being a "multitude of nations" (Genesis 48:19). In John 5 and John 9, Yeshua heals the blind and lame on the Sabbath. The weekly Sabbath foreshadows the 1,000 year Messianic Era. In doing so, Yeshua is alluding to His role to gather the exiles of Israel in the end of days at the dawn of the Messianic Era.
In John 11, we are told about the resurrection of Lazarus. Lazarus foreshadows the exiles of Israel who are likened to dry bones (Ezekiel 37:1-14). Yeshua was asked in Acts 1:6 when He was going to "restore the Kingdom to Israel". The restoration of the Kingdom to Israel is the restoration of the tabernacle of David which had fallen. After the reign of kings David and Solomon, the nation of Israel was divided into Northern Kingdom and Southern Kingdom. Since had king David ruled over all 12 tribes from Jerusalem, when their was a split within Israel, the tabernacle of David (12 tribes united) had fallen. It is the task of the Messiah of Israel to restore the tabernacle of David. In doing so, Yeshua wanted to have partners in this ministry task. As a result, He trained 12 disciples and sent them to the nations.
Yeshua taught those who followed Him would be 'fishers of men' (Matthew 4:19). This is an allusion to the exiles of Israel (Jeremiah 16;14-16, Ezekiel 34:31, 36:10). After Paul's conversion in Acts 9, He was sent by Yeshua into the nations. Paul testified before king Agrippa that he was proclaiming the role of the Messiah to gather and unite the 12 tribes of Israel which is the "hope" of Israel (Acts 26:6-7). Paul's letters were primarily written to those from the Northern Kingdom of Israel (ten tribes / Ephraim / house of Joseph) who were scattered in the nations. 1 Peter was written to the Ten Tribes in exile. Because the Ten Tribes were scattered into the nations, when Paul shared his message which was primarily directed toward the Ten Tribes, those with whom they were living would hear the Gospel of Yeshua as well. As a result, the Gospel of Yeshua would be heard and taught to all nations as all nations would have the opportunity to receive Yeshua as the Messiah (John 3:16).

After you have watched the video or listened to the audio, there is an online quiz with in-depth study questions so you can dig deeper into the scriptures with each lesson.
You can take the courses online to receive ribbon points for completing a course and badge points for completing a subject.
When you complete all courses and all subjects, you can receive a
certificate of completion. This certificate is equivalent to a bachelor's or master's degree in Hebraic studies. We will be looking into college accreditation for the program in the future for those who desire to have this.
Alternatively, if you are a Pastor or home group leader, you can lead your home group or congregation through the questions in a small group discussion format.
